What is the LearningLab?
Clermont School of Business’s LearningLab was created in 2020 and financed by the Groupe ESC Clermont-Auvergne Foundation. The LearningLab is a place for exploring alternatives to conventional teaching models. Its purpose is to experiment with new working methods and tools that can be developed into new teaching practices at Clermont School of Business.
Because the act of learning has evolved with the digital age, the LearningLab makes it possible to federate existing experiences and use these to question and improve practices where necessary. The area can be used to rethink the teaching and learning space – such as the classroom – and the way in which the different areas of the school are used and invested, according to the times of life and learning.
Students are central to the reflection, as they are involved in different ways: workshops are organized to pool ideas and expectation and evaluate teaching experiments, both formally and informally.
The LearningLab thus has an impact on both the students’ ability to “learn to learn” which has a positive influence on motivation, improves academic results, and facilitates professional integration. For teachers, it improves well-being at work and teaching effectiveness.
