A look back at... The ESC Clermont BS Foundation's Annual Gala

Nearly 200 guests attended the ESC Foundation’s Annual Gala which took place on Tuesday, April 4th. During the evening, the guests were presented with an overview of the Foundation’s missions, axes and actions and an assessment of its 2022-2023 actions. Robin Jund gave a special thanks to the donors on behalf of the students who benefited from the foundation’s scholarships.

In 2022, 87 students benefited from social grants totalling €140,000

Speeches were made by several of the scholarship recipients and musical interludes were provided by ESC student musicians. An “Active Break” was animated by Zoé Benzine, ASM sports educator. This evening immersed all the participants (donor companies, scholarship students, school partners, staff members, journalists) in a warm and sincere atmosphere.

An Eventful and Musical Evening with Special Guests

This Gala evening was also marked by the participation of two guests of honor, Florence Hale and Jean-Marc Gendre:

Florence Hale, a 1994 ESC Clermont BS graduate, spoke by videoconference from Paris about her definition of commitment, illustrating her remarks with the various actions she carries out on a daily basis.

Jean-Marc Gendre, CEO of Lumibird, European leader in laser technologies and President of the “ASM Impulsion” Foundation, focused his speech on the notion of commitment to the territory and the societal role of companies.

In 2022, the Groupe ESC Clermont Foundation collected 293 000 € (+3% compared to 2021). 75 % of total funds have been donated by 25 regional companies, committed to offering direct support to ESC Clermont BS students via the provision of scholarships. The Foundation also offers financial support to ESC Clermont BS via the implementation of innovative actions and projects to help students, as well as the region.

25% of 2022 donations are from the school’s alumni, who provide individual or company donations.

In 2023, the Foundation aims to support 100 scholarship students by raising €350,000. By 2027, it hopes to be able to pay out €215,000 in annual scholarships to the School’s students, while developing the impact of its other strategic axes.
