A New Work-Study Specialization Track: “Media and Journalism”

Starting next academic year, Clermont School of Business (CSB) will introduce a new ‘Media and Journalism’ specialization as part of its bachelor’s degree program, with a work-study format.

This specialization, co-developed with ESJ Pro, the journalism training subsidiary of the Centre France – La Montagne Group, reflects the school’s strong commitment to the region’s educational and territorial development.

Initially, the school aims to enroll around twenty students in this program, with the goal of training a new generation of professionals who will enhance the capabilities of companies and organizations in a rapidly evolving sector, both regionally and nationally.

A Program Focused on Journalism Careers.

This program offers in-depth knowledge of the media industry through specialized courses led by professional journalists and media experts. Over the course of a year, students will gain both economic and journalistic perspectives, enabling them to develop a comprehensive, nuanced understanding of the current challenges facing the media world.

As part of this partnership, the school will offer access to its facilities and its fully accredited Bac+3 bachelor’s degree program. It will also manage the recruitment of future students, handle promotion and visibility efforts aimed at target students, and oversee the program’s pedagogical follow-up.

ESJ Pro (Montpellier’s School of Advanced Journalism) will contribute its media expertise and its network of trainers. It will also promote this specialization to companies and organizations for work-study placements.

In addition to the skills gained during the program, a Bootcamp preparing students for journalism school entrance exams will be offered, providing graduates with even more opportunities to expand their horizons.

Did you know?

This new specialization is open to all students with a Bac+2 degree (BTS, L2, RNCP Level 5) who wish to pursue careers in media, content creation, and journalism.

Students who have completed their second year of the bachelor’s program are also eligible to apply, subject to available spaces. The work-study format, alternating six weeks in a company with two weeks at Clermont School of Business, allows students to earn a Bachelor in Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Management, accredited at Bac+3 level

Graduates will have the option to either enter the workforce directly or pursue further studies.
