Empowering Futures: ESC Clermont's MSc in Corporate Finance & Fintech (CFF)

Curious about the essential fusion of finance and technology shaping today’s financial landscape? Well, read on.

In an era defined by rapid digitalization and financial innovation, mastering the intersection of Corporate Finance and Fintech has become paramount for aspiring financial professionals. ESC Clermont Business School recognizes this demand and has meticulously crafted its MSc – Master of Science in Corporate Finance & Fintech (CFF) to cater to the evolving needs of the industry.

Mastering the craft

One of the hallmarks of ESC Clermont’s CFF program is its commitment to bringing real-world expertise into the classroom. In March 2024, students had the privilege of attending an impactful Masterclass led by Mr. Eric Mignot, the founder and president of +Simple, and a prominent figure in the French FinTech scene. This Masterclass was not just a lecture; it was a glimpse into the heart of French FinTech, offering insights into +Simple’s business model, founding journey, and the financial intricacies behind its success.

During the Masterclass, students delved deep into the financial dimension of +Simple, exploring topics like fundraising, debt structures, and the transformation of finance functions in the FinTech industry. Through this immersive experience, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between finance and technology, preparing them to navigate the complexities of the modern financial landscape.

Empowering Success Stories

However, the impact of the CFF program extends beyond the classroom. Success stories like those of Olajide Akinyemi from Nigeria and Mohamad Masri from Lebanon exemplify the transformative power of this program. Olajide’s journey from Nigeria to France might seem like a leap of faith, but with ESC Clermont’s support, he not only adapted to a new culture but also found his footing in the world of Fintech and Corporate Finance.

“I am a Nigerian who moved to France after my bachelor’s degree with little knowledge of the French culture and Fintech but this masters program at ESC Clermont Business School exposed me to the French culture and to the world of Fintech and Corporate Finance.”
Olajide Akinyemi

After securing an internship with Standard Chartered Bank in Paris and now flourishing as an Oil Trader in Dubai, Olajide’s story is a testament to the global opportunities unlocked by the school.

Similarly, Mohamad Masri’s experience underscores the program’s emphasis on critical thinking and versatility. Despite having no prior exposure to Fintech, Mohamad found himself captivated by ESC Clermont’s curriculum, which challenged him to think beyond conventional boundaries. From literature seminars to practical internships at Vinci Concessions, Mohamad’s journey epitomizes the diverse skill set nurtured by the CFF program.

“The variety of topics served in the Corporate Finance and Fintech program can open several doors for candidates such as financial analysis and control, M&A, PE, and especially in the fintech industry. I was lucky to hook an internship as a financial controller at Vinci Concessions, and this has helped me even more to find a job now.”
Mohamad Masri

What sets ESC Clermont apart is not just its academic rigor but also its unwavering commitment to student success. With collaborative faculty, supportive management, and a rich array of extracurricular opportunities, the business school provides a holistic learning environment where students can thrive and excel.

In essence, the program is not just a degree; it’s a transformative journey that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to thrive in the dynamic world of finance. By bridging the gap between finance and technology, the school is shaping the future leaders of the industry and reaffirming its position as a trailblazer in business education.
