Understanding Higher Education in France

Higher education in France is structured around the European LMD system (Licence-Master-Doctorate), which is organized into three cycles. This system uses ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) to validate semesters and academic years.

The awarding of LMD degrees is thus linked to the number of semesters completed since entering higher education. This approach provides better transparency of degrees at the European level and promotes international student mobility.

Alignment with Our Programs

Our Bachelor programs (equivalent to a Licence degree) and our Grande École Program (equivalent to a Master’s degree) are fully integrated into the European LMD system. This integration ensures that our courses meet international academic standards, enhancing student mobility and the global recognition of our degrees.

Our programs award ECTS credits, allowing our students to measure and transfer their academic achievements transparently between different higher education institutions in Europe and beyond
