Scholars of Distinction: The Inspiring Stories of Vera, Crystal, and Renzo at Clermont School of Business

At Clermont School of Business, three scholars from three different continents—Vera Tumanova, Crystal Pyngrope, and Renzo Alonso Niquín Vásquez—have embarked on a shared journey in pursuit of knowledge and global impact. Each of them has faced unique challenges, accessed distinctive opportunities, and overcome financial barriers to be part of this renowned institution. Their stories speak to the power of determination, adaptability, and ambition in a multicultural environment.

Vera Tumanova: Embarking on a French Dream

For Vera Tumanova, studying in France has always been a cherished dream. Aspiring to  study abroad from a young age, she always prioritized her studies . The Eiffel Scholarship, one of France’s most prestigious awards, made this dream a reality. However, getting to this point required thorough planning and tenacity.

“I knew that I wanted something different from a traditional education, wishing to learn from industry professionals. France is famous for its Grand Ecole system and it was the best fit for me. ” Vera explains. “However, obtaining a scholarship was the only way for me to afford it.”

To stand out as a candidate for the Eiffel Scholarship, Vera knew she had to present a compelling story that resonated with the selection committee. “I focused on crafting a motivation letter that reflected my character, backed up by examples that matched my career goals and Clermont School of Business’s values,” she says. “It’s essential to create coherence between your project, school, and program.”

The scholarship has not only lifted a financial burden but also enriched her experience through Campus France, which organizes cultural excursions, like a visit to Mont Saint Michel, and provides guidance for international students. This holistic support has strengthened her outlook on global career opportunities. “The Eiffel Scholarship alumni network is invaluable. I feel like I’m part of a community that’s invested in creating positive change,” Vera adds.

Crystal Pyngrope: A Determined Journey from Meghalaya to France

Coming from Meghalaya, a small state in India, Crystal Pyngrope’s journey to Clermont School of Business is a story of resilience and resourcefulness. After graduating with a degree in computer applications and gaining a year of experience, Crystal was determined to pursue an international education. Her first attempt to fund her studies through the Charpak Scholarship was unsuccessful, but she didn’t give up. Instead, she sought support from WeMakeScholars, a platform that helps Indian students navigate educational loans.

“WeMakeScholars made me feel valued and provided a student-friendly loan with the best interest rate and quick processing,” Crystal shares. “As an international student, having access to this loan has been a huge relief. It allows me to focus on my studies rather than constantly worrying about finances.”

Crystal views her educational loan as an investment rather than an expense, and this mindset fuels her determination. “Taking this loan motivates me to work harder because it represents a stepping stone to achieving my goals. I’d encourage Indian students to see loans as opportunities to advance their careers rather than burdens,” she says.
